Why do I need to setup Cron job?

KMP has a Cron Script that have to run automatically on the background at regular intervals to perform the following tasks:

• send emails to subscribers
• reindexation of attachments (attachments are being indexed on the fly when you upload them; you would need cron only if you wish to reindex them)
• make automated database backups
• run automated related article linking
• regenerate sitemap

How to setup Cron job

Chose your platform:

• Windows XP/2003
• Windows 7/Vista/2008
• Linux/UNIX
• Control Panel (e.g. Plesk)
