New major version of Knowledge Base Software has been launched today. It introduces drag and drop upload facility for various files including images, videos, flash, documents, and others.

Knowledgebase Manager Pro v5.4 – Drag and Drop Images, Documents, Videos, and Any Files from Your PC to the Knowledge Base

In Knowledgebase Manager Pro v5.4 we’ve made upload of your files to the knowledge base easier than ever. You do not longer need to upload them in the "old-style": select a file from your PC, then next file, another one… and finally press upload, and thus wasting a lot of time just to upload several files. All of that is in the past. Now you can just drag and drop a file to the browser window with article opened to upload it. That’s possible to do for any kind of files that you upload to knowledge base software: documents, images, videos, flash, and virtually any files. Even your company logo can be uploaded using drag-n-drop functionality.

Also, now you can watch the upload progress, especially if you drop thousands of files to your knowledge base, or if you upload a file that weights several Gigs.

The new version allows gathering additional information about any user, for example: phone number, IM, detailed address, organization, or any custom notes.

Now when you import articles, you can specify which category you want to assign each article to. If category with that name doesn’t exist, it will be created automatically.

To avoid spamming admin’s email with "autoreply" messages you can specify an email address that will be used as sender’s email for most automated messages sent by Knowledgebase Manager Pro

Upload Documents Just by Dragging and Dropping Them

You can easily attach documents and virtually any files to articles using the drag and drop facility. Watch the video to learn how it works.

KMP has several built-in error logs that allow not only detect and resolve possible issues with KMP itself, but also help to configure the environment in order to achieve best user-experience and performance. Also, we are planning some kind of self-configuration panel, which detects currently installed internal external modules and settings. This would allow admin to setup best configuration in no time.

There is no limit on that. You can upload as many files at a time as you need.
