This article describes how to make a category with articles that is accessible by certain users only. Users that are not logged-in won't be able to see these articles. Nor will users that don't belong to the specified groups. Selected client users will have read-only access.

  1. Edit given category and set its access mode to restricted. Select only groups that are supposed to have access to this category and its contents. Click "Save & Close".

  2. You'll get a confirmation. Set checkbox on "all articles in current category" and possibly other checkboxes if you want to apply these permissions to all objects within this category branch. Select "replace groups" because we need to have the same permissions for all selected objects.

  3. Now if you login as a user that belongs to the "Group B" for example, you will be able to see and edit this category and all its contents.

  4. Users from the "Group D" won't able even to see this category.
